Any lack of motivation I have been feeling lately was truly diminished after my cinema trip this weekend to see Leonardo Dicaprio in "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Obviously I could comment on the sexist misogynistic nature of the film, the fact that minutes in we saw Leo's character Jordan Belfort snorting cocaine off the backside of the prostitute.. and repeatedly throughout.. but that aside, the main thing I took from The Wolf of Wall Street and Jordan Belfort in particular, was his hunger and drive for success in a competitive business industry.

When Belfort answers a job ad for a small, "penny stock" company, he sees past everything that is wrong and sees the good, the potential to make a lot of money from his astonishing ability to get people to like and TRUST him and the benefits that can be reaped from starting at the bottom, working your ass off and quickly getting to the top.

Stocks and Shares may not be something I am clued up on, and dodgy illegal dealings to get to the top is obviously not in my action plan, but being determined, confident, hard working and good at what I do, definitely is. And naturally of course, enjoying the lifestyle and holidays that come with hard work is something I am definitely looking forward to.

(BIG thanks to Lucy at Renegade Hair in Leeds for chopping off my boring locks into a new bouncy bob - I LOVE it!)

So, it's out with the lazy attitude that has stuck with me since Christmas, in with the new power bob (hair cut!) and time to get motivated.. because to succeed and be trusted in life and work, I need to work hard and know what I am talking about. As Belfort says;
"The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can't achieve it.”
